Well, 

2011 is upon us and by now we should be clearing up the last few achievements on the games we got over the festive period.

And with them out of the way, what do we have to look forward to?

In no particular order:

Dragon Age 2 (Multiple platforms) 11/03/11

Sequel to one of my Favourite RPG's, some snazzy new improvements to the combat, a much needed Graphic overhaul, and a brand new plot involving Morrigan's child someone called Hawke. And above all, some more money to spend on EA DLC!

Lego Star Wars 3: Clone Wars (Multiple Platforms) 18/02/11

Well, not sure I care that much about this one, as much as the Lego games are consistent fun. The formula is a tad tired,  The last one I played was Lego Indiana Jones 2, which was thrashed pretty quickly.  I didn't really bother with Lego Harry Potter, and well... As much as I like Star Wars I never bothered with the clone wars cartoon, Meh I might get it.

DC Universe (PC/PS3)  14/01/11

Massive new MMO based on DC Comics with a dual platform release! PC and PS3. Is it a WoW killer? Who knows, probably not.

Portal 2 (Multiple Platforms) 22/04/11

Sequel to the cult classic. Prepare for a whole new generation of internet memes based on this

Diablo 3 (PC) 29/07/11

2011? Well apparently... I bet it doesn't come out till 2012, or indeed run on my PC. STILL! I'm Fucking excited for it to come out. I was a huge fan of Diablo and Diablo 2. Though I fully expect this iteration to have a bit of the WoWs about it.

 

Marvel vs Capcom 3 (360/PS3) 18/02/11

Could not be more excited about this one, it's a definite Day-one purchase for me, massive and cool roster of characters, and boasts more graphics than any other game out there!

Mortal Kombat (360/PS3) 25/03/11

Fatalities are back, and they seem to have brought back the gameplay of my much beloved Mortal Kombat II and III. And it's all shiny and new! PS3 are getting Kratos, 360 is as yet unconfirmed, but can likely look forward to M.Chief of One of the "Gears of war" crew.

Gears of War 3 (360) 11/04/11

More duck-and-cover shooty chainsaw action, this time with tits!!

SSX: Deadly Descents (Multiple Platforms) 01/06/11

Fuck yeah, SSX Tricky was nearly 10 years ago, and still hands down beats all the other snowboarding games since! Not much has been released about this one except a sinister dark trailer. Lovin' it 

EA SPORTS BIG!

Arkham City (Multiple Platforms) 01/09/11

Batman returns after his very successful outing in Arkham Asylum. Bigger Sandbox, more toys, and Two-face and Catwoman confirmed. And no sign of Robin, Bonus!

Tekken vs Street fighter (360/PS3) 01/09/11

Super Street fighter IV with Tekken Characters. That alone sells it to me! they are using the SSFIV engine, which is pretty solid, not much can go wrong with this one.

Child of Eden (360/PS3) 04/02/11

Trippy amorphic shape blasting visual experience. Not so much as game, more like an acid trip simulator.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360/PS3) 01/11/11

Again I don't see this one being released till 2012, but there is a new engine, and a new land. Some wonderful FPS-RPG-ing to be done from those wonderful folks at Bethesda 

Dreamcast Collection (360/PS3) 01/02/11

Due out very soon, but with no confirmation on the games included, expect to see Space Channel 5, Crazy Taxi, Powerstone, Bass fishing, Jet Set Radio and the likes BUT with with a smidge of HD. Nice bit of nostalgia for the Dreamcast.
